Dr. Beth Hartog has joined our patient care team as the first woman infertility specialist based in
Monmouth and Ocean Counties! Dr. Hartog is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and
Infertility. She received her MD from New York Medical College in 1991. Dr. Hartog completed her
fellowship training at The George Washington University and remained at the University from 1997 to
2003 as the director of the University’s IVF program. She was instrumental in developing George
Washington’s IVF program into one of the premier programs in the country.
From 2003 to 2009, Dr. Hartog developed Maine’s first IVF program at Maine Medical Center. Dr.
Hartog’s focus as the director was establishing protocols that increased pregnancy rates while
minimizing the amount of necessary treatment. Dr. Hartog’s IVF program at Maine Medical Center
achieved pregnancy rates significantly higher than national averages.
One of Dr. Hartog’s key responsibilities during the last 15 years has been the education of medical
students, residents, and attending physicians. Her academic appointments include teaching and
research positions at the University of Vermont Medical School, Dartmouth Medical School and The
George Washington University.

Dr. Hartog strives to provide a gentle and caring approach to patient exams and procedures. Her patients often comment on how painless they are. She is a
great listener and enjoys spending time answering all of the questions and concerns that her patients and their partners have during their consultations. Dr.
Hartog’s primary focus is to minimize the amount of treatment necessary to help her patients achieve their pregnancy goals.
Where there is great love there are always miracles.
